Rudi Hakvoort
Rudi Hakvoort is a high-level expert in the area of energy regulation and energy system design. He was head of the section Market Infrastructure and member of the management team of the Dutch energy regulator from 1998 to 2005. Rudi Hakvoort was responsible for gas and electricity market development, network regulation and grid investments as well as capacity allocation, congestion management and market surveillance. From 2000 – 2004 he served as chairman of the working group on Congestion Management of the Council of European Energy Regulators.
Rudi Hakvoort holds an M.Sc. degree (1989) and a Ph.D. degree (1993) from Delft University of Technology. He is part time associate professor at Delft University of Technology and trainer in several international courses on energy regulation.
Rudi Hakvoort is partner of D-Cision since 2007. He contributed to numerous projects in the Netherlands and abroad.
